Interpersonal, Inc. (“Interpersonal”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our desktop application and related services.

This version replaces any prior versions and governs your use of our product as of the date listed above. The current version is always available at interpersonal.work/privacy.

1. Who We Are

Interpersonal, Inc. is a Delaware corporation headquartered in San Francisco, California. We build software that helps companies understand customer demand by analyzing recorded video interactions. All video processing occurs locally on users’ devices.

2. What We Collect

We collect only the data required to provide insights and improve our product:

  • Personal Information
    Your name, email address, and affiliated organization (if applicable).

  • Transcripts and Derived Content
    Text-based representations (e.g. transcripts or summaries) derived from locally processed video or audio files. No raw media is uploaded to our servers.

  • Usage Data
    Interaction data from our desktop app, such as session duration, feature usage, and performance metrics.

  • Metadata
    Technical diagnostics such as timestamps, device type, and anonymized identifiers.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data for the following purposes:

  • Delivering insights to users about communication and demand signals.
  • Training private (non-public) models to improve performance and accuracy.
  • Improving user experience and product functionality.
  • Ensuring security and maintaining service reliability.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Local Processing & Video Privacy

Our app processes all media files locally on your device.
We do not upload, store, or transmit your original videos or audio files to our servers.

5. Data Storage & Retention

  • Derived data (e.g. transcripts and metadata) may be stored indefinitely to support product improvements and insights.
  • Original media is never stored or uploaded.
  • You may request deletion of any personal or derived data by contacting us (see Section 11).

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest and stored in the United States (GCP US West). Access is limited to company directors or higher.

6. Subprocessors & Third Parties

We use the following subprocessors to support our infrastructure and analytics:

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – Hosting and infrastructure
  • Amplitude – In-product analytics
  • Gemini (Google) – AI model processing and evaluation

We ensure all subprocessors follow reasonable security practices. We do not authorize them to use your data beyond providing services to us.

7. Your Rights

We do not currently provide in-app data access, export, or deletion functionality.
You may request deletion of your personal or derived data at any time by contacting us at hello@interpersonal.work.

8. No Cookies or Web Tracking

We do not use cookies or third-party tracking on our website.
Our desktop application uses internal tracking solely for diagnostic, security, and performance purposes.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for users 18 years and older.
We do not knowingly collect or store data from individuals under 18.

10. Data Security

We protect your data using:

  • Industry-standard encryption (TLS, AES-256)
  • Secure cloud storage (Google Cloud, US West)
  • Role-based access controls (limited to company leadership)

We routinely monitor for unauthorized access and maintain a secure development process.
